What's On Rinconeers?

Anyone interested in participating in the Grenada Summer regatta?

Tim Barr writes;

We will be sailing in a 37ft Beneteau First Class Europe "Aquarela". Depending on the crew's experience, we will race in either Racing Class or Racer/Cruiser class.

2005 Tobago Race Week in May
The plan would be for the boat to leave Trinidad on the Thursday evening, July 7th arriving in Grenada on Friday morning. You can join the boat on the trip across to Grenada (approx 16hrs) or take a flight to Port of Spain on Thursday evening then on to Grenada early on Friday Morning.

Racing starts at 10:30am on Friday the 8th Caribbean Star and Liat both have flights leaving Port of Spain early in the morning so you can make the race even if you leave POS on Friday morning. Flights are as follows for 8th July: Caribbean  Star  792   POS Grenada   0625 0705,   Liat   310   POS Grenada   0600 0635.

The Grenada Yacht Club (GYC) announces it's Sixth (6th) Annual Regatta will be held July 7 - 10, 2005.

The regatta sailing will leave from beautiful Grand Anse beach and the daily after race partying will be held at the Grenada Yacht Clubhouse. There will be live music with local bands, award ceremonies, and plenty of good food and fun.

The GYC welcomes all sailors to the regatta. Along with racing, cruising, charter and multihull classes, live aboard cruisers are actively encouraged to enter in the fun class category. If you intend to race in the Racing or Cruising classes a CSA Certificate will be required at final registration. The Grenada Yacht Club is looking forward to participants from throughout the region coming to this event.

The regatta is governed by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Racing Rules of Sailing for 2005.
